Internet and Web Services
Currently, 36 districts, COEs, and private schools connect to RTC for their
internet access, serving over 150,000 users and utilizing 200 Mbps of
bandwidth.
Our Programming, Technical Support, and Web Design teams offer custom web
development services to meet the online needs of the educational community.
Some of those developed and in use include:
-
AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination)
RTC designed, maintains, and hosts this full service website. Alumni
can register online, news items can be interactively posted, and many
reports, schedules, and resources are available with just a click!
- CTAP Region V (California Technology Assistance Project)
RTC provides developer support, technical support, as well as server
space for this regional technology information site serving Monterey,
San Benito, Santa Clara, and Santa Cruz counties.
- ETC (Educational Technology Center)
The Internet Institute uses a customized online registration and
reporting system to keep track of their students.
- Head Start
The online Lesson Plan System allows teachers to enter their lesson
plans for the whole week and submit them online. The online Work Order
System tracks a work order from initial entry, to the approval and
assignment levels, then to completion. A satisfaction survey is built in
along with searches and reports
- SIMS (Seminar Information Management System)
This powerful workshop management system developed by RTC assists the
Instructional Services Branch of the SCCOE with the thousands of
registrants at their many workshops. Online registration is now a breeze
and the reporting, budgeting, and administrative tools allow the staff
to provide quality programs.
